This is a 10 day pilgrimage, flying into Tel Aviv from London Heathrow and beginning at Emmaus in the hills west of Jerusalem where we spend a couple of days walking in Bethlehem and in Jerusalem. On Sunday we celebrate Mass with the Bethlehem parish before driving to Jericho and the Dead Sea. The next days are spent in Jerusalem following the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. We then travel to northern Israel to stay by the Sea of Galilee and visit Nazareth and the sites of Jesus’ teaching ministry and the miracles he performed. We will take a private boat on the Sea, renew our Baptismal promises and ponder at the site of the first century synagogue in the town of Magdala.
